西日本医療品総合展示会2026 出展レポート／VRで繋ぐ災害医療と公衆衛生教育

2026年1月22日(水)〜23日(木)の2日間、大阪OMMビルにて開催された「西日本医療品総合展示会」に出展いたしました。 今回は、災害体験VRと災害医療に関する感染症対策コンテンツを展示し、多くの医療品卸商組合関係者の皆様にご体験いただきました。

災害医療と公衆衛生をVRで「体験」する

今回の展示では、VR機器5台を使用し、以下の一連のコンテンツを提供いたしました:。

• 災害疑似体験：土砂災害、水害、教室での地震、コンセント火災

• 高齢者視界体験：白内障などによる視界変化の理解

• 感染症対策VR：被災地や避難所での公衆衛生対策

災害発生時、医療現場では感染症の拡大リスクが急激に高まります。避難所における衛生環境の悪化、医療物資の不足、ライフラインの途絶—こうした状況下での感染症対策は、単なる知識ではなく、実践的な行動として身につける必要がありると考えています。

VRは「客寄せ」から「行動変容」への入口

VRはガジェットとしての側面があります。

「見てみたい!」という好奇心が、多くの方の足を止めるきっかけになります。

しかし同時に、「展示会場でVRゴーグルを着けるのは恥ずかしい」と感じる方も少なくありません。

今回の成功の鍵は、展示会という人と人が直接出会う場で、真摯にお客様と向き合った弊社スタッフの活躍にありました。

来場者の方々に元気よく自然に声をかけ、安心してVR体験に参加していただける雰囲気づくりに徹した結果、2日間で多くの来場者・体験者の方々に恵まれ、活発な意見交換の場となりました。

「疑似体験」の先にある「考える機会」

弊社のVRコンテンツは、京都大学防災研究所、広島県をはじめとする多くの研究機関や自治体で実際に使用されている、現場で回す力の実績を多く有するコンテンツです。

単なる疑似体験、ゲーム大会で終わらせるのではなく、「その後の教育をどう進めるか」「行動変容から習慣化へどう繋げるか」という本質的な問いに向き合っています。

体験された皆様からは、以下のようなお声をいただきました:

• 「災害時の感染症対策の重要性を体感できた」

• 「地域への展開方法について具体的なイメージが湧いた」

• 「企業の防災計画に取り入れたい」

• 「高齢者の視界を体験することで、避難所設計の課題が見えた」

  
  

「知る」から「行動する」への橋渡し

弊社のミッションは、「知識と言語の壁を超える」こと。

災害対策教育においても、知識として「知っている」ことと、実際に「行動できる」ことの間には、大きなギャップが存在します。

VRという技術は、このギャップを埋めるための強力なツールです。

しかし、ツールはあくまでツールです。

重要なのは、体験後にどう考え、どう行動に移すか？と弊社では常に問いかけながら、課題の解決を行なっています。

今回の展示会では、多くの医療関係者の皆様が、「自分たちの地域で」「自分たちの企業で」災害医療と公衆衛生教育をどう展開していくかを真剣に改めて考える機会となりました。

今後の展開

白獅子は現在、高知県での「環太平洋防災推進拠点」創設を推進しています。

今回の西日本医療品総合展示会での知見は、このハブ構想にも活かされます。

また、2026年2月1日には、JAXA連携による新作VR「月鏡(Gekkoukyo)」のデビューも控えています。 地球を月から見る視点は、災害という局所的な出来事を、惑星規模の視座から捉え直すきっかけになるかと考えています。

We showcased disaster experience VR and infection control content related to disaster medicine, providing hands-on experiences to many medical product distribution association members.

Experiencing Disaster Medicine and Public Health through VR

For this exhibition, we utilized five VR devices to provide the following integrated content:

• Disaster Simulation Experience: Landslides, floods, classroom earthquakes, electrical outlet fires

• Elderly Vision Experience: Understanding vision changes due to conditions like cataracts

• Infection Control VR: Public health measures at disaster sites and evacuation centers

During disasters, healthcare facilities face rapidly increasing risks of infectious disease spread. The deterioration of sanitary conditions at evacuation centers, shortage of medical supplies, and disruption of lifelines—we believe that infection control measures under these circumstances must be acquired not merely as knowledge, but as practical actions.

VR as a Gateway from "Attraction" to "Behavioral Change"

VR has its aspects as a gadget.

The curiosity of "I want to try it!" serves as a trigger for many people to stop and engage.

However, at the same time, many feel "embarrassed to wear VR goggles at an exhibition venue."

The key to our success lay in the excellence of our staff, who genuinely engaged with customers at this exhibition—a place where people meet face-to-face.

As a result of creating an atmosphere where visitors felt comfortable participating in VR experiences through energetic and natural interactions, we were blessed with many visitors and participants over the two days, leading to active exchanges of ideas.

"Opportunities to Think" Beyond "Simulated Experience"

Snowlion Inc.'s VR content is actually used by numerous research institutions and local governments, including the Kyoto University Disaster Prevention Research Institute and Hiroshima Prefecture, demonstrating a proven track record of practical implementation in the field.

Rather than ending with mere simulated experiences or game sessions, we confront the essential questions: "How do we advance subsequent education?" and "How do we connect behavioral change to habituation?"

Participants shared feedback such as:

• "I was able to experience the importance of infection control during disasters"

• "I gained a concrete image of how to deploy this in the community"

• "I want to incorporate this into our company's disaster prevention plan"

• "Experiencing elderly vision revealed challenges in evacuation center design"

Bridging the Gap from "Knowing" to "Acting"

Snowlion Inc.'s mission is to "overcome knowledge gaps and communication barriers."

In disaster preparedness education as well, a significant gap exists between "knowing" something as knowledge and being able to "act" on it.

VR technology is a powerful tool for bridging this gap.

However, tools are merely tools.

What matters is how we think and take action after the experience, questions we constantly pose at Snowlion Inc. as we work to solve challenges.

At this exhibition, many healthcare professionals had an opportunity to seriously reconsider how to develop disaster medicine and public health education "in their own communities" and "in their own companies."

Future Developments

Snowlion Inc. is currently promoting the establishment of the "Pacific Rim Disaster Prevention Hub" in Kochi Prefecture.

The insights gained from this West Japan Medical Products Exhibition will also be applied to this hub initiative.

Additionally, on February 1, 2026, we will debut our new JAXA-collaboration VR "Gekkoukyo (Moon Mirror)."

We believe that the perspective of viewing Earth from the moon can serve as an opportunity to reconsider local disaster events from a planetary-scale viewpoint.

Furthermore, we are scheduled to exhibit our technology at the "Defense Technology Platform 12th Matching Seminar" in Tokyo on February 3, 2026.
