倉敷市玉島／良寛椿の会VR/ARコンテンツ開発─地域文化を未来へ紡ぐ。

世代を越えて地域の思いが形になる──地元、高校生の創造がつないだもの

2026年2月1日、倉敷市玉島にて開催された「良寛椿の会」関連事業の成果発表会に参加しました。

本事業の企画・運営に携わられた皆様、地域の文化を守り育ててこられた皆様、そして制作と発表に臨まれた高校生の皆さんに、心より御礼申し上げます。

地域の文化資産に対し、次世代が自分たちの言葉と技術で向き合う場が成立したことは、何より大きな意義だと感じています。

本取り組みは、「100年後の玉島地域と良寛椿」をテーマに、VR制作を通じて地域の未来像を表現するプロジェクトです。

岡山県立玉島高等学校では当社開発チームが実装面を支援し、倉敷作陽高等学校では主にCG制作の指導に入りました。

私たちが重視したのは、操作や表現の上達以上に、「何を解決したいのか」「誰に何を届けたいのか」を自分の言葉で整理し、制作の判断に反映させることです。

技術は目的ではなく、地域の思いを伝えるための手段としてお伝えいたしました。

当日は、地域を支える多様な立場の方々が集まられました。

倉敷市伊藤市長はじめ、地域金融機関の関係者、行政関係者、そして地元の皆様が一つの会場で同じ作品を見て、同じ説明を聞き、同じ未来の話をして、イメージを共有する貴重な機会となりました。

そこで評価されたのは、作品の完成度だけではなく、世代や立場、考え方の違いを越えて、地域の思いを形にし、共有可能な形へ翻訳したことが肯定的に受け止められた点に、価値があったと思います。 今回の様に、地域の大人たちによる、同じ地域の若者たちへの肯定的な評価は、制作した高校生の皆さんにとって、次の自信につながると、私たちは確信いたしました。 地域の文化は、守るだけでは次の世代へ届きません。

次の世代が再構成し、表現し直し、他者と共有できる形にして初めて、未来に向けて更新されます。

今回の取り組みは、その更新が「地域の合意」として立ち上がった瞬間だったと感じます。

私たちは今後、この成果を一過性の発表会で終わらせず、地域内での展示機会の拡張、学校教育での継続、観光・文化施策との接続など、実装の形へ進めていきたいと考えています。

地域の皆様へ、私たちが貢献できることとは、賑わいを作ることではなく、地域の思いが次世代に継承され、広く輪のように伝わっていく“仕組み”を残すことだと思います。

On February 1, 2026, we participated in the presentation of achievements related to the "Ryokan Tsubaki no Kai" project held in Tamashima, Kurashiki City.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in planning and operating this project, to those who have preserved and nurtured the region's culture, and to the high school students who engaged in production and presentation. We feel that the most significant achievement was establishing a space where the next generation could engage with regional cultural assets using their own words and technology.

This initiative is a project themed "Tamashima Region and Ryokan Tsubaki 100 Years from Now," where students express their vision for the region's future through VR production. Our development team supported the implementation aspects at Okayama Prefectural Tamashima High School, while at Kurashiki Sakuyo High School, we primarily provided guidance on CG production.

What we emphasized was not merely improving operational skills or expression, but rather organizing in their own words "what they want to solve" and "what they want to convey to whom," and reflecting this in their production decisions. We conveyed that technology is not the objective, but a means to communicate regional sentiments.

On the day of the event, people from diverse positions supporting the region gathered. Mayor Ito of Kurashiki City, representatives from regional financial institutions, government officials, and local residents came together in one venue to view the same works, hear the same explanations, discuss the same future, and share their vision—a truly valuable opportunity.

What was evaluated was not only the quality of the works themselves, but the fact that regional sentiments were given form and translated into a shareable format that transcended differences in generation, position, and perspective—this was received positively, and therein lay the value. We are confident that such positive evaluation from adults in the community toward young people from the same community, as seen in this case, will lead to increased confidence for the high school students who created these works.

Regional culture cannot reach the next generation through preservation alone. It is only when the next generation reconstructs, re-expresses, and transforms it into a form that can be shared with others that it is renewed toward the future. We feel that this initiative was the moment when such renewal emerged as "regional consensus."

Moving forward, we aim to ensure that these achievements do not end as a one-time presentation, but rather progress toward implementation through expanded exhibition opportunities within the region, continuation in school education, and connection with tourism and cultural policies.

What we can contribute to the regional community is not creating buzz, but leaving behind a "system" through which regional sentiments are inherited by the next generation and spread widely in ripples.

We will continue to engage carefully as companions supporting that system.
