疑似体験で終わらせない、社会を変えるVR活用～【未来へつなぐ防災教育】岡山市消防局とのVR活用がRSKにて紹介

2025年5月、岡山市消防局による火災体験VRを用いた防災啓発活動が、RSK山陽放送のニュース番組にて紹介されました。
本取り組みは、弊社が岡山市へ年間リース提供している災害VR機材を活用したものであり、単なる体験の提供を超え、未来の防災文化を育む教育活動へとつながっています。
「疑似体験」で終わらせない、社会を変えるVR活用
火災の恐ろしさを“リアルに、そして安全に”体感できる災害VRは、今や防災教育の最前線ツールとして注目されています。
しかし、私たちが岡山市消防局と進めている取り組みは、それだけにとどまりません。
弊社は、岡山市に向けてVR機材とコンテンツを年間リースするだけでなく、そのVRを活用した教育的アプローチの深化と、世代を超えた行動変容の促進に力を注いでいます。
とりわけ今回の取り組みでは、若年層に対する防災教育に主眼が置かれており、「火災を知る」から「火災を想定し、自ら考え、動けるようになる」までの意識改革を促す実践が行われています。
教育と研究、そして現場へ ― 三位一体の挑戦
この活動は岡山大学教育学研究科・岡崎善浩准教授（行動心理学）との共同研究とも連動しています。
産学官の連携により、VR体験を通じた“行動変容のメカニズム”を科学的に検証し、その成果を再び現場の教育現場に還元する、という循環型の学びと実装のモデルが形づくられています。
岡山市消防局とは長年にわたって研究・開発・導入を協働しており、機器の提供にとどまらず、共に地域の未来をつくるパートナーとしての信頼関係が築かれています。
子どもたちの体験が、地域の未来を変えていく
火災、津波、地震、土砂災害——これらの災害において「正しい行動が命を守る」ことを、単に知識としてでなく、実感として胸に刻むこと。それを可能にするのが、災害体験VRの力です。
防災教育とは、今この瞬間の知識を伝えるだけではなく、未来の命を守る“文化”を育む営みだと私たちは考えています。
今回、岡山市内の若者たちが火災VRを通じて真剣に防災を学び、語り合う姿は、まさにその「未来への継承」の現れでした。
「貸す」から「育てる」へ。リースのその先を見つめて
私たちが提供するのは、機器や映像コンテンツではありません。その先にある、地域の安全を支える人づくり、意識づくり、そして行動変容です。

VR Application That Doesn't End With "Virtual Experience" - Transforming Society Disaster VR that allows people to experience the terror of fires "realistically and safely" is now gaining attention as a cutting-edge tool for disaster prevention education. However, the initiative we are advancing with the Okayama City Fire Department goes beyond just that. Our company not only leases VR equipment and content to Okayama City on an annual basis, but also focuses on deepening educational approaches and promoting behavioral changes across generations through the use of this VR. Particularly in this initiative, the focus is on disaster prevention education for younger generations, and practices are being implemented to promote a transformation in awareness from "knowing about fires" to "anticipating fires, thinking for oneself, and being able to act accordingly."
Education, Research, and Field Implementation — A Three-Pronged Challenge
This activity is also linked to joint research with Associate Professor Yoshihiro Okazaki (Behavioral Psychology) from Okayama University's Graduate School of Education. Through industry-academia-government collaboration, a cyclical model of learning and implementation is being formed, in which the "mechanism of behavioral change" through VR experiences is scientifically verified, and the results are then returned to educational settings. We have been collaborating with the Okayama City Fire Department for many years on research, development, and implementation, and beyond just providing equipment, we have built a relationship of trust as partners in creating the future of the region together.
Children's Experiences Changing the Future of the Community
In disasters such as fires, tsunamis, earthquakes, and landslides—the power of disaster experience VR enables people to engrave in their hearts, not just as knowledge but as a visceral understanding, that "correct behavior saves lives." We believe that disaster prevention education is not just about conveying knowledge for this moment, but is an undertaking to cultivate a "culture" that protects future lives. In this case, the sight of young people in Okayama City seriously learning about disaster prevention through fire VR and discussing it with each other was precisely a manifestation of that "passing on to the future."
From "Lending" to "Nurturing." Looking Beyond Leasing
What we provide is not just equipment or visual content. It's about developing people, awareness, and behavioral changes that support the safety of the community beyond that. Lease contracts are not just a means of introducing equipment, but the first step in creating a system deeply connected to regional education and culture. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our collaboration with the Okayama City Fire Department while expanding initiatives to transform disaster prevention into a "force connecting to the future" together with communities across the country.
